About Jimmy

Jimmy Nguyen started guiding international travellers around Vietnam in 2006. In 2012 he founded Asia Travel Expert Co., Ltd., the licensed Hanoi-based inbound tour operator behind Vietnam Tour Expert. Today he leads the team that plans private tailor-made tours and small-group tours from Hanoi and Halong Bay to Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta.

He works with travellers in English and is the final reviewer of every travel guide published on this site.

What I Do

Plan tailor-made itineraries – routes, pacing, hotels and cruises matched to each traveller's dates, interests and budget.
Run private and small-group tours – choose a private guide and car, or join a small group on our fixed departures.
Select local partners – guides, drivers, Halong Bay cruises and hotels we have worked with and checked in person.
Review our travel guides – every guide is written, researched and checked by our team, with a final review by me.

How We Research and Update Our Guides

Guides are based on the routes we actually operate and on feedback from our guides and travellers.
Opening hours, ticket prices and rules are checked against official sources (attraction websites, UNESCO, local authorities) before publishing.
We review guides when prices, schedules or regulations change, and every guide shows its “Last updated” date.
