Aerial view of Nha Trang Bay and its long sandy beach, Vietnam

Nha Trang

A long sandy bay, coral islands, Champa temples and fresh seafood – Nha Trang is Vietnam's favourite beach city and island-hopping base.

Nha Trang is a coastal city on one of Vietnam’s most beautiful bays, with a 6 km city beach, more than a dozen islands and a long sunny dry season. Since July 2025 it has been the administrative centre of the enlarged Khanh Hoa province, which now includes Ninh Thuan. Visitors come for island hopping and snorkeling at Hon Mun Island, beach days on Hon Tam, the Champa heritage of the Ponagar Cham Tower, family fun at VinWonders Nha Trang and some of the best seafood in the country. North of the city, Diep Son Island and Doc Let Beach offer quieter escapes.
