VinWonders Nha Trang 2026: Tickets, Cable Car & Tips

VinWonders Nha Trang is Vietnam’s best-known theme park, on Hon Tre Island across Nha Trang Bay. One ticket covers rides, a water park, an aquarium with over 15,000 sea creatures, gardens, shows and the return trip on a 3.3 km sea-crossing cable car. It opens 9:00–20:00; an adult standard ticket costs 1,050,000 VND.

Status (checked October 2026): open daily, 9:00–20:00. The Vinpearl cable car is suspended for scheduled maintenance from 26 October to 10 November 2026, when guests cross by speedboat instead. In the rainy season (October–December) some outdoor rides and the water park may pause in storms; check the official site before you go.

Why VinWonders Nha Trang is worth a day:

  • The sea cable car: a 3.3 km ride over Nha Trang Bay, opened in 2007 and once the world’s longest over the sea.
  • Everything in one ticket: thrill rides, a water park, an aquarium, gardens and daytime shows.
  • Underwater World: tunnel aquarium with sharks, rays and a mermaid show.
  • Evening entertainment: the Tata Show and nearby Vinpearl Harbour.
  • Ideal for families and a reliable plan when the sea is too rough for island boats.

Is VinWonders Nha Trang Worth Visiting?

Yes for families and fun-seekers; less so for travellers focused on culture and nature. The cable car alone is a highlight, and the park offers enough rides, water slides and shows for a full day. It is expensive by Vietnamese standards, so make it a whole day rather than a quick stop.

  • Best for: families with children, teenagers, groups of friends, rainy-season days when boats are cancelled.
  • Skip if: you dislike theme parks or crowds, or your budget is tight; an island boat trip offers more local character.
  • Short on time: buy the evening ticket after 16:00 for the cable car, a few rides, the parade and the Tata Show.

Background: From Vinpearl Land to VinWonders

The park opened on Hon Tre Island as Vinpearl Land in the mid-2000s, and its sea-crossing cable car began running in 2007, at the time a world record for length over the sea. In 2020 Vingroup rebranded its parks as VinWonders. The cable car has 120 cabins carrying up to 12 people each, towers inspired by the Eiffel Tower and LED lighting at night. In January 2024 the company opened Vinpearl Harbour, a shopping and entertainment district next to the park.

What to See and Do at VinWonders Nha Trang

1. The sea-crossing cable car

The 3.3 km cable car links the mainland to Hon Tre in a few minutes, with 360-degree views of the bay, the city skyline and the islands. Ride it at least once in daylight and once after dark when the towers light up.

2. Adventure Land rides

Thrill-seekers head for the roller coasters, the Alpine Coaster down the hillside, the Mine Adventure ride and the zipline. Gentler rides suit younger children.

3. Tropical Paradise water park

The freshwater water park has slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a floating inflatable play area of about 5,885 m² on the sea. Bring swimwear and a towel.

4. Underwater World (Sea World)

The aquarium holds more than 15,000 marine creatures, with a walk-through tunnel of sharks and rays and a short mermaid show in the morning.

5. King’s Garden and World Garden

Shaded gardens with flowers, sculptures and miniature world landmarks offer a break between rides; the bird show takes place in King’s Garden.

6. Fairy Land and Festive Hill

Children’s play zones, carousels, games and photo spots designed for younger visitors.

Local Expert Tips for VinWonders Nha Trang

These tips come from years of arranging Nha Trang tours for international travellers.

  • Check the cable car notices before you go; during maintenance the speedboat crossing is quick but queues can build.
  • Pack swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a hat; lockers are available for a fee.
  • Measure children’s height in advance; ticket categories are by height, not age.
  • Head to the far rides first while most visitors start near the entrance.
  • Eat at the buffet restaurants or Vinpearl Harbour; food inside is pricier than in the city.
  • If you only want the views and an evening out, buy the cable car ticket for Vinpearl Harbour instead of the full park.

VinWonders Nha Trang vs a Hon Tam Island Day

Feature VinWonders Nha Trang Hon Tam Island
Style Theme park, rides and shows Beach club, mud baths and relaxation
Best for Families with energetic children, teens Couples, adults, slower travellers
Getting there Cable car or speedboat Speedboat from the mainland
Cost 1,050,000 VND per adult (standard ticket) Lower; depends on package
Time Full day Half to full day

Our view: with children, VinWonders is the obvious choice; without them, most adults prefer an island day at Hon Tam or snorkelling at Hon Mun. On a longer stay, do one of each.
