How many days do I need for Vietnam?

When is the best time to visit Vietnam?
It depends on the region: Northern Vietnam (Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa) is best from October to April, with cool to cold weather from December to February. Central Vietnam (Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang) is best from February to August, as storms are common from September to December, while Southern Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta) is dry from December to April. Since 15 August 2023, citizens of all countries and territories can apply online for a Vietnam e-visa valid for up to 90 days, with single or multiple entry. Some nationalities, such as the UK, Germany, France, Japan and South Korea, can visit visa-free for up to 45 days, so always check the latest rules before you travel.
