Tour Information & Itinerary
This private Da Nang city tour 1 day shows you the city’s best sights in one easy day: the 67 m Lady Buddha at Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula, the caves and pagodas of the Marble Mountains, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Han Market and the Dragon Bridge, ending on My Khe Beach. Hotel pick-up, your own guide, car and lunch are included.
Status (checked October 2026): the itinerary below is a sample that we tailor to your hotel, pace and interests. All the sights are open as normal; parts of the upper Son Tra roads have been restricted after storm damage, but Linh Ung Pagoda is reached by the coastal road and is accessible. The Dragon Bridge fire and water show runs at 21:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. October to December is the rainy season, when the beach may be rough and we spend longer indoors at the museum.

Is a Da Nang City Tour Worth It?
Yes, if you have only a day or want to see the main sights without arranging taxis between them. Da Nang’s highlights are spread out – the Lady Buddha is about 10 km north-east of the centre and the Marble Mountains about 9 km south-east – so a private car and guide link them easily, and your guide explains the Cham, Buddhist and modern history behind each stop.
It is less worthwhile if you mainly want the beach, or if you are staying several days and like to explore at your own pace. In that case, use this day for the sights that need a car and keep the Han River and the beach for your free evenings.
Tour Highlights
1. Lady Buddha at Linh Ung Pagoda
On the Son Tra Peninsula, Linh Ung Pagoda (Bai But) is home to the 67 m Lady Buddha, inaugurated in 2010, which faces the sea above a garden of arhat statues. The views across the bay to the city are some of the best in Da Nang.
2. Marble Mountains
The Marble Mountains are five limestone hills named after the five elements. On Thuy Son, a lift and stone steps lead to pagodas, viewpoints and the vast Huyen Khong Cave, and the stone-carving workshops of Non Nuoc line the road below.
3. Museum of Cham Sculpture
The Museum of Cham Sculpture, founded in 1915 by French scholars, holds the world’s largest collection of Cham sculpture – sandstone gods, dancers and altars from the Champa kingdoms that built My Son Sanctuary.
4. Han Market and the Dragon Bridge
Han Market on the Han River is the city’s best-known central market for dried seafood, local snacks and fabrics. Nearby, the 666 m Dragon Bridge opened in 2013 and breathes fire and water on weekend evenings.
5. My Khe Beach
End the day on My Khe Beach, a long stretch of soft sand only about 3 km from the Dragon Bridge – ideal for a late-afternoon swim in the calmer months.
Who This Tour Is For – and Who Should Choose Another
Choose this tour if you:
- have one day in Da Nang and want the main sights in a relaxed order;
- are travelling with children or older parents and want a private car and flexible timings;
- are interested in culture – Buddhist pagodas and Cham art – as well as views and beaches;
- are staying in Hoi An and want a day in the city without arranging transport.
Consider another option if you:
- want Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge – that is a separate full day, included in our Da Nang – Hoi An Tour 4 Days;
- want Hue or My Son as well – choose the Da Nang – Hoi An Tour 5 Days;
- prefer street-food tours or nightlife – this is a daytime sightseeing tour;
- dislike steps – the Marble Mountains still involve some climbing beyond the lift.

Local Expert Notes by Jimmy
These notes come from years of arranging Da Nang tours for international travellers.
- Start early: the Lady Buddha and the Marble Mountains are cooler and quieter before 9:00, which is why we visit them first.
- Dress code: cover shoulders and knees for Linh Ung Pagoda and the Marble Mountains pagodas; a light scarf is enough.
- Shoes: wear shoes with grip – cave floors and stone steps at the Marble Mountains are slippery after rain.
- Museum timing: the Museum of Cham Sculpture is open 7:30–17:00 and is the perfect midday stop on a hot or rainy day.
- Market tips: at Han Market, ask the price before you buy and expect some friendly bargaining for clothes and souvenirs.
- Beach safety: swim only where lifeguards are present; from October to December waves and currents are often strong.
