Vietnam Honeymoon Packages

What are Vietnam honeymoon packages with Vietnam Tour Expert?

Our Vietnam honeymoon packages are private 6-day trips for couples, with your own guide and driver and hotels chosen for comfort and atmosphere. Choose a night on a Halong Bay cruise and the rice terraces of Sapa in the north, or the sand dunes of Mui Ne and the cool pine hills of Da Lat in the south – then extend with beach days or Hoi An on request.

  • Durations: 6 days, easily extended to 10–14 days
  • Destinations: Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Da Lat
  • Best for: honeymooners, anniversaries and couples' escapes
  • Best months: October–April in the north; December–April in the south

See our honeymoon tours below, or tap Show more for our full honeymoon planning guide.

Good to know (2026)

  • June to October is storm season in northern Vietnam; Halong Bay cruises can be suspended at short notice, and we rebook or reroute if that happens.
  • In March 2026 Lao Cai province tightened its rules on adventure tourism: trekking and other adventure tours in Sapa may only be organised by licensed travel businesses, and local guides, porters and trail helpers are being registered and checked by the communes. We run Sapa treks only with licensed, registered local guides.
  • The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi is closed for maintenance from 4 September to 2 November 2026 (normally closed on Mondays and Fridays).
  • Tet (Lunar New Year) 2027 falls on 6 February – romantic hotels and cruises fill early, so book a honeymoon around that date well ahead.

Why choose Vietnam for your honeymoon?

Vietnam gives couples a rare mix of romance and adventure in one trip. You can wake up among the limestone islands of Halong Bay, walk through rice terraces in Sapa, share a candle-lit dinner in a lantern-lit old town and finish on a quiet beach – all in two weeks, at a cost far below many classic honeymoon destinations.

  • Unforgettable settings – sunset and sunrise on a Halong Bay cruise, misty mountains in Sapa, pine forests and lakes in Da Lat.
  • Food to share – street food tours, cooking classes and riverside restaurants.
  • Privacy – a private guide and car mean you set the pace, sleep in when you like and skip the crowds.

Our Vietnam honeymoon packages at a glance

Both tours run privately for two and can be combined into one longer honeymoon.

Tour Days Route
Hanoi – Sapa – Halong Bay 6 Hanoi, two nights in Sapa, overnight Halong Bay cruise
Ho Chi Minh – Mui Ne – Da Lat 6 Saigon, Mui Ne beach resort and dunes, Da Lat highlands

How to choose your Vietnam honeymoon

1. Mountains and a cruise in the north

The Hanoi – Sapa – Halong Bay tour 6 days links Hanoi’s Old Quarter, two nights in the mountains of Sapa and a private cabin on an overnight Halong Bay cruise, with kayaking or a bamboo boat among the karsts. Best from October to April.

2. Coast and cool hills in the south

The Ho Chi Minh – Mui Ne – Da Lat tour 6 days pairs Saigon’s energy with a beach hotel or resort in Mui Ne, sunset and sunrise on the sand dunes and the pine hills and lakes of Da Lat, then a short flight back to Saigon. Six days is a busy loop, so add a night or two in Mui Ne if you want a lazy beach day. Best from December to April.

3. A longer honeymoon (10–14 days)

Combine both tours with a domestic flight in between, or add the central coast: Hoi An’s lantern-lit old town and a few beach days in Da Nang make a perfect finale. See our Vietnam beach holidays for ideas.

4. Budget and hotel level

Each tour can be built with 3-, 4- or 5-star hotels. Many couples choose a mid-range hotel in the cities and splurge on the cruise cabin or the beach resort – the places where you spend the most time.

Best time for a honeymoon in Vietnam

Vietnam’s seasons vary by region, so match your route to your wedding date:

Region Best months Keep in mind
North (Hanoi, Sapa, Halong) October–April Cold nights in Sapa Dec–Feb
Centre (Hoi An, Da Nang) February–August Rainy season Sep–Dec
South (Saigon, Mui Ne, Da Lat) December–April Afternoon showers May–Nov

Planning a summer wedding? June to August is ideal for the central coast; read our Hoi An travel tips before you go.

What is included: private or small group?

Honeymoon packages are always private – just the two of you with your own English-speaking guide and driver. Small-group join-in departures exist on some routes, but we do not recommend them for honeymoons.

  • Hotels at your chosen level, and a private cabin on the Halong Bay cruise in the north
  • Airport transfers, private air-conditioned vehicle and driver
  • Sightseeing, entrance fees and boat trips in the itinerary, and meals as listed
  • Domestic flight from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City on the southern tour

International flights and visas are not included. Our honeymoon tours start from US$312 per person (Ho Chi Minh – Mui Ne – Da Lat Tour 6 Days) and US$520 (Hanoi – Sapa – Halong Bay Tour 6 Days); the final price depends on dates, hotel level and cruise cabin, so tell us your budget and we will match it.

Romantic experiences to add to your honeymoon

Every package can be personalised. Popular additions for couples include:

  • An evening food walk in Hanoi – our Hanoi Street Food Walking Tour (from US$23 per person) is a fun first night together.
  • Lantern evenings in Hoi An – riverside dinners and a stroll through the lit-up old town.
  • A couples’ cooking class – learn to make spring rolls and pho together.
  • Extra nights by the sea – a quiet resort in Mui Ne or Da Nang to end the trip.
  • An upgraded cruise – a higher-category Halong Bay ship with a balcony cabin.

Tips from our local team

From years of arranging honeymoons in Vietnam, Jimmy and the team suggest:

  • Tell us it’s your honeymoon. We pass it on to your hotels and cruise when booking, and some like to add a small welcome touch.
  • Choose the cabin, not just the ship. On Halong Bay a balcony cabin makes the overnight far more special.
  • Allow slow days. After the wedding rush, build in at least one free day with nothing planned.
  • Pack layers for the hills. Sapa and Da Lat are much cooler than Hanoi and Saigon, especially at night.
  • Plan around storms. If you travel between June and October, keep a flexible day near your Halong Bay cruise.
