Vinpearl Harbour Nha Trang: Cable Car, Shows & Shopping

Vinpearl Harbour (Vinpearl Bến Cảng) is a free-entry waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment district on Hon Tre Island in Nha Trang Bay, beside VinWonders. Opened in January 2024, it has a market with over 200 stalls, a seaside promenade, go-karts and nightly shows. You pay only for the crossing: about 200,000 VND return by cable car.

Status (checked October 2026): open daily, about 9:00–22:00. The Vinpearl cable car is suspended for scheduled maintenance from 26 October to 10 November 2026; during that period, and every night after the cable car stops, guests cross by speedboat. Evening shows may be cancelled in strong wind or rough seas.

Why Vinpearl Harbour is worth an evening:

  • The cable car ride: about 3.3 km over Nha Trang Bay, spectacular at sunset.
  • Free entry: no park ticket needed to stroll, shop and eat.
  • Harbour Market with more than 200 stalls of food, souvenirs and local specialities.
  • Free stunt show “Rise of the Ocean Princess” on the water at night.
  • Go-karts, spa and bars for a fun night out.

Is Vinpearl Harbour Worth Visiting?

Yes, as an easy evening out with a great cable car ride, especially if you are not doing the full theme park. It is a modern, purpose-built resort district rather than a real fishing harbour, so do not expect local village life, but it is clean, lively and good value when you only pay for the crossing.

  • Best for: couples, families, groups wanting dinner and shows, travellers who want the cable car without a full-day park ticket.
  • Skip if: you dislike commercial developments; the city’s own night market and seafood restaurants feel more authentic.
  • Short on time: combine it with VinWonders Nha Trang on the same ticket day and stay for the late shows.

Background: A New District on Hon Tre Island

Vinpearl, part of Vingroup, has developed Hon Tre Island since the mid-2000s with resorts, the theme park now called VinWonders and the sea-crossing cable car, which opened in 2007 and was then the world’s longest over the sea. Vinpearl Harbour opened on 26 January 2024 to give visitors a reason to stay into the night, with European-style harbour buildings, a market, restaurants, bars and shows around a marina basin.

What to See and Do at Vinpearl Harbour

1. The Vinpearl cable car

The cable car crosses about 3.3 km of sea in roughly 10 minutes, in cabins for up to 12 people, with towers lit by colour-changing LEDs after dark. It is the main reason many travellers come.

2. Harbour Market

More than 200 stalls sell street food, grilled seafood, Khanh Hoa specialities such as bird’s nest products, souvenirs and clothes. Prices are higher than in the city but convenient.

3. The seaside promenade

A promenade of about 535 m runs along the water with views back to Nha Trang’s skyline, best at sunset.

4. Stunt show “Rise of the Ocean Princess”

A free night-time stunt show on the water at Marina Bay, scheduled around 21:15, with jet skis, effects and performers; it depends on weather and sea conditions.

5. Tata Show, fountain and evening performances

The Tata Show (about 100,000 VND for Harbour visitors) and the musical fountain are close by, and street performances such as a Monte Carlo-style masquerade fill the evening.

6. Go-karts, spa and nightlife

A go-kart track of about 5,600 m², the Aquafield spa, bars and clubs add options for adults and teenagers.
